Where We Droppin'? Weekly Fortnite Let's Play Club (10-15)
Class experience
For nearly five years, Fortnite has become a staple game, bringing its refined-yet-cartoonish style, dance emotes, and beloved bus driver to the masses. Whether casual or competitive, Fortnite has taken the internet by storm. I love playing board games and video games, and while Fortnite is a newer game in my personal rolodex, I've been playing more and more recently to know as much as I can. I've also started watching streamers to learn more ins and outs of the world and even the lore.

Fortnite is rated T for Teen, specifically for violence, but it's all cartoonish, rather than bloody or gory. Since the object is to be the last one standing, players constantly shoot other players and dodge fatal storms. However, there's no blood; defeated enemies simply vanish. If you would like a comprehensive guide to see whether you think Fortnite is appropriate for your learner, not only are there several live play videos of the game on YouTube, as well as trailers, but there is also a linked article in the Materials section. In order to play Fortnite with this class, learners will need a copy of the game, which can be on PC, or console, as there is crossplay available. Each player will also need their own Epic Games account in order to play and have access to crossplay. Links for all required materials are available in the "External Resources" section. All matches will be set up privately from my end, so as to maintain privacy and security for all.
