As a wildlife biologist and environmental educator, I have a lot of firsthand experiences to share about studying and observing different animals in various parts of the world. In this unique, one-time class, I will bring students with me as I return to one of the world's special wildlife habitats. I'll arrive a few days before, spend my days observing animals, share my experiences in class, answer burning questions, and hope that we'll catch some wild animals photo-bombing class! Students only need an inquisitive mind and an interest in nature to enjoy this class. Teacher expertise and credentials
I pursued a career in wildlife science and environmental communications after deciding at 8 years old that I wanted to 'save all the animals'. I know what it feels like to want to DO something from an early age! I have done everything from wildlife field research, to working in environmental education at World Wildlife Fund, the Smithsonian National Zoo and National Audubon Society. The locations I will be in these live events are places I've been before in my lifelong quest to observe and study animals in the wild. It is my hope that I can ignite your learner's interest in getting more involved in nature and wildlife conservation.
