In this class, students will learn about the five habitats and the various animals that live in them. The teacher will present the habitats one at a time, in detail, and then describe the animals that live there. The students will create a Habitat Handbook during class. After the teacher has presented the habitats, the students can participate in class discussion which will help them in completion of the handbook. Interaction will be constant during class. Students will be able to name the habitat by descriptive words or by the animal that lives there.
Template for the Habitat Handbook (teacher will provide via email) 3 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 white paper (additional paper) Crayons Colored Pencils Pencil with Eraser Stapler
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
