****Part 1 not required.**** In this follow up class to "'Where the Sidewalk Ends' Fun Journaling", keep your reading and writing skills fresh with this fun class. We'll discuss one Shel Silverstein poem each class. Then in journaling fashion, complete a prompt about the poem. The prompts will ask us to write our own poems, answer questions, or draw pictures. Learners will then be given time to share their work with the class. This will be a fast fun class. Read. Discuss. React. Share. Low pressure, no assessments. Approximate Schedule: 5-10 minutes for reading poem and discussing, 10 minutes of individual work on prompt, 10 minutes for sharing. (Times are approximate and based on average sized class with average participation. Each class may vary) This class is designed with the average 3rd grader in mind, but may be appropriate for younger or older learners. Questions? contact Ms. Ann. It is NOT required that you take Part 1. This is a stand alone class that uses different poems from the Part 1.
