We are working on reading to learn, but also going back and making sure students have the tools from previous grades down to apply to harder words and concepts as they grow in their literacy.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify word origins, syllables, and sounds of vocabulary words.
Students will be able to define a word and give synonyms and antonyms.

At the end of the course, students will be asked to complete an assessment of the book on Socrative. Socrative is an easy way for teachers to give a quiz or test and get the results and grade quickly. Socrative only requires students to have the class code (from the teacher) in order to enter the Socrative space and complete whatever assessment or the teacher has for them.
