Description
Class Experience
In this class, we will meet to discuss the Who HQ Book: Where is the Great Barrier Reef? by by Nico Medina. Students should read the book on their own or with their family prior to class. We will each share some facts from the book that we found especially interesting or surprising. After we have had discussion about the book, we will learn how to make a "chatter box" as a way to show share more facts. All learners need to bring to class is a piece of computer paper, scissors, and a pencil....
This class is taught in English.
Please read the book think about facts you'd like to discuss prior to class. Using sticky notes to mark some key facts in the book or jotting down a few interesting facts are suggested strategies for coming to class prepared to have discussion. Please bring: a piece of paper, a pencil, and scissors to class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be using scissors for a small activity at the end of class.
