This is a fun ongoing game-show! Participants become detectives to pursue a world renowned thief by competing and answering geography questions. The game is engaging, interactive, and educational. Catch Mr. Mitchell & become a weekly winner. -Each week the world renowned thief (Mr. Mitchell) steals a key landmark from somewhere around the world. Participants become detectives hired to track and catch Mr. Mitchell. Each round students will follow clues left behind by learning and answering geography questions.The game-show will have a different easy to understand format for each round. I will use google forms, docs, slides, Kahoot, and video clips to cover the topics. -Classes will be fun, quick, and engaging (45 minutes each). Students will not sit through long, boring, endless Kahoots. Instead, learning will be interactive, informative, and educational. I have a professional license from the state of Kansas to teach social studies and have been teaching middle and high school aged students for over 13 years. I love game-shows. I feel i'm especially qualified to lead this lesson because I was once voted by my classmates as most likely to host a game-show. -Certificates will be awarded each week to the detective who finishes the game-show in first place and catches Mr. Mitchell. -Wk 1, the Geographical landmark and continent covered will be in Africa. -Wk 2, the Geographical landmark and continent covered will be in Europe. -Wk 3, the Geographical landmark and continent covered will be in South America. -Wk 4, the Geographical landmark and continent covered will be in Asia. Additional dates could be added it requested. .
Learning Goals
This is a fun geography trivia class that will teach students geographical essentials like: continents, physical landforms, countries, states, cities, human cultures, and famous landmarks.
Students will complete in engaging game-show themed activities, games, and trivia. This class meets once a week with a new theme each class.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
