In this class students will continue to work with Contractions understanding that Contractions are made up of two words and apostrophes take the place of some of the letters.

In this class we are going to learn about Contractions and Apostrophes; we will talk about how the two words have letters replaced by the apostrophe. Students will have an opportunity to receive instruction from the teacher; as well as, playing games to practice matching Contractions with the two words that form the Contractions. We will do activities to identify the letters that the Apostrophes replace. I like learning to be fun! In this class students will have opportunity to interact with their teacher and their classmates while participating in fun activities. I look forward to meeting your students in this class!

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
