When in Rome... Learn Roman Numerals!
In this one time class, students will learn to read and write Roman numerals from 0 to 50.

In this class, students will be introduced to the Roman numbering system. (For example, 1 = I, 5 = V, 10 = X, 50 = L, and everything in between.) We will talk about the rules for making various numbers (such as how VI makes 6 since it can be read as "5 and 1"). Then, students will be given some examples of converting between Roman numerals (I, II, III, etc.) and Arabic numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) to practice with on their own, with the teacher providing additional guidance as needed. I am a nuclear engineering graduate from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in Science. I began graduate school for a PhD in Nuclear Engineering, but due to health issues I decided to leave school and pursue my passions elsewhere--like here!
Thus, it may go without saying that a lot of classes I offer are math and science (particularly nuclear science) related.

Much of my teaching background is in tutoring. I have listings set up for private lessons, so feel free to message me if you are interested!
