During this one-time class, students will be introduced to the three states of matter through an interactive presentation. Students will learn examples of solids, liquids, and gases and will be able to describe their properties. Students will describe properties of matter using their five senses. Students will use the scientific method to make hypotheses and observations and investigate what happens when solids are mixed with water. Students will play a game to review the three states of matter.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
