- The students will improve their understanding of the philosophical and historical ideas of Dictatorship and Monarchy by using higher-order thinking skills and meaningful discussion.
I have a degree in political science with a minor in history, a masters of education in teaching and learning, and a graduate certificate in gifted education. I have experience teaching sensitive material, and material to this age group. There are many people who want to talk about politics, but there are not many who can do so without injecting their own personal opinions. I'm excited to offer this information, free from opinion, in a way that promotes higher-order thinking skills.
Students at any level of prior knowledge and students with unique learning needs are encouraged to enroll!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I have experience teaching sensitive and controversial material to learners in this age group. My discussion type classes take our topics and combine them with student selected topics, which vary to the interests of the learners present. We talk about making class a safe place for everyone to share, agree, and disagree in appropriate ways before the discussion begins.
