In this one-time class, learners ages 4-8 are invited to understand the phenomenon of hibernation. We will learn about different animals that hibernate. We will read a story, play games, and make a hibernating bear craft.

Description
Class Experience
Students will understand what hibernation is, which animals hibernate, why they hibernate, where they hibernate, and for how long they hibernate. They will be able to make a hibernating bear craft and discuss the phenomenon of hibernation.
2 files available upon enrollmentOne page handout, crayons, glue, white tissue paper/kleenex, brown paper bag, stapler.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Young learners may benefit from having an adult nearby. The activity involves cutting and gluing. If your learner has a hard time with scissors, simply cut the activity out before class!
