In this class, we will study the phenomenon of hibernation. We will learn about different animals that hibernate, why they hibernate, for how long, and where they hibernate. We will discuss what happens to their bodies when they are in the hibernation state. We will look at pictures, read a fun story and engage in discussion to answer questions and promote curiosity. 25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Young learners may benefit from having an adult nearby. The activity involves cutting and gluing. If your learner has a hard time with scissors, simply cut the activity out before class!
