What's in the Box? Christmas-Themed (ESL Friendly)
What's included
1 live meeting
25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Join us on a festive challenge to guess all of the Christmas-themed items in the box before the time runs out. This fun and fast-paced class will help develop students' problem-solving skills whilst they listen to clues given by the teacher to guess what items are inside the box. Depending upon the groups' ability, the teacher will provide a range of clues that are adjusted to suit the student's level. There may be 3-5 items hidden inside the box each week. Students will be given clues such as what colour it is, what features it has, and what they can do with it. After the students have correctly guessed all of the items, the teacher will hold a discussion surrounding the topic with some supporting slides. There will then be a quick game where students are asked to choose an item from a set of given pictures and give their classmates clues for their classmates to guess the item correctly. At the end of the class, if there is time, students will complete a drawing whilst discussing the topic with their peers.
Learning Goals
Students will develop their problem-solving skills.
Students will listen to clues, comprehend them, and identify what is being described.

Hello,
I’m Catherine, the owner and founder of theOET. We focus on supporting students between 3-12years of age specialising in content that is accessible to ESL learners.
We aim to connect learners around the world through English with hands-on, educational virtual lessons. Our core lessons focus on offering story-based and cross-curricular content to not only instil a love for learning but also reading from a young age.
TheOET offers a vast range of programs which include:
*Developing core English skills such as phonics and early reading, reading and comprehension, vocabulary and speaking, or grammar and writing practice.
*Interest-led sessions that are cross-curricular such as book clubs, discussion and debates, animal conservation, journaling, and STEAM.
*Our core private 1v1/1v2 sessions where theOET all began, providing story-based learning to help students progress with all areas of their English as well as grow in confidence.
All of our teachers are British teachers in the UK #ukteacher. Our teachers are highly experienced with both face-to-face and online teaching experience. They each hold a degree in a range of subjects and hold an ESL qualification such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA.
Our teachers each have a very calm and friendly persona, ensuring that your child feels comfortable participating, leading to increased engagement, which of course, helps your child progress even further.
Each of our teachers brings something unique to our company, whether it’s their love for animals, reading, or planning amazing content for your child.
We are so excited to meet your child and help them improve their English, but also enjoy their learning experience with us.

POLICIES
Please read through these policies carefully relating to our online classes.
1. Class Recordings
We only share class recordings in the classroom with our students for our 1v1 private lessons. We do not share class recordings in the classroom if it is a group class. This is to protect and safeguard our students who have attended the lesson. If you have been unable to attend your booked lesson due to an emergency, please contact us via the messenger system on Outschool.
2. Refunds
Please refer to the refund policies listed for each class. We do not offer refunds for missed classes unless there has been an emergency, which of course we will work with you to find an alternative session for your child. If you have missed a class outside of the above reason stated, you may still contact us to try and transfer your learner to another section during the same week or following week. However, this is only available if there is space in one of our other class sections.
3. Late Arrival to Class
Please arrive to class on time. Late entry into the classroom is extremely disruptive to all other learners, and your own child also. If you are more than 10-minutes late to class, the teacher may have locked the classroom for safety reasons and you may not be able to enter the class.
4. Sibling Discounts
We know that the pennies can be tight when booking classes for siblings so we do offer a sibling discount to help out. This offer only applies to siblings who are enrolled in the same class. Please get in touch for more details on our sibling discount.
