Description
Class Experience
In this class, we will be discussing the adventures of Abby as she and her brother, Jonah, get sucked into a magical mirror into the story of Aladdin. They are excited at first, but quickly realize that things aren't as they had hoped. Now, they have a list of things to get done in hopes of making sure that Aladdin still gets to marry his true love. But can they get everything done and still find a way back home? Let's find out together! Class will consist of instructor-directed discussion....
Education: BA in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Communication and minors in Philosophy and Theology from the University of St. Thomas Experience: More than 9 years as a homeschool parent, more than 30 years of being an avid reader, 3 years of writing fiction while meeting with published authors to discuss different aspects of writing and books, 6 previous high school-level classes taught on this platform in addition to several classes taught on the aspects of writing on Outschool as well as at local libraries for more than 2 years, I am also a Municipal Liaison for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) program
Class 1: Chapters 1-5 (pages 1-36) Class 2: Chapters 6-10 (pages 37-88) Class 3: Chapters 11-15 (pages 89-128) Class 4: Chapters 15-19 (pages 129-157), book reports, and literary elements!
All students need a copy of Whatever After - Genie in a Bottle. Book reports and the list of literary elements will be available in in the classroom during the first week of class.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
