Whatchama Draw It: Drawing, Coloring, and Socialization
Class Experience
During this class, we will randomly select a card from the game "Whatchama Draw It" to use as inspiration for our own drawings or come up with our own silly ideas. While we draw and color, we will also socialize. We may play "Would You Rather" to keep the conversations going. This class is meant to help the learners develop their creativity as well as their drawing and socialization skills. Drawing is a great way to improve fine motor skills. - The learners will learn to use the elements of art to draw and color pictures inspired by cards from the "Whatchama Draw It" game or by ideas that the members of the class come up with. Elements of art include using lines and shapes to create art as well as many other things. Art helps with improving creativity, improves fine motor skills, and reduces stress.
I have been an educator for 30+ years. During this time, I have taught all academic subjects as well as Art and STEAM to learners in grades K-5.
Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: The learners will be assessed informally throughout the lesson. They will also be assessed informally during the virtual art gallery at the end of the class.
