What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hours per weekAssessment
The learners will be assessed informally throughout the lesson. They will also be assessed informally during the virtual art gallery at the end of the class.Class Experience
During this class, we will randomly select a card from the game "Whatchama Draw It" to use as inspiration for our own drawings or come up with our own silly ideas. While we draw and color, we will also socialize. We may play "Would You Rather" to keep the conversations going. This class is meant to help the learners develop their creativity as well as their drawing and socialization skills. Drawing is a great way to improve fine motor skills. The topics that I will be teaching include using various types of lines, using shapes to create art, and creating backgrounds. Creativity will be encouraged throughout each class meeting. The class will follow the following format: Greetings Random draw of the "Whatchama Draw It" card (Because of the random selection, cards may be repeated at times. If it is a repeat, the learner will be encouraged to add a twist to their drawings). Drawing, coloring, and Socialization- I will be demonstrating how I draw the picture while the learners draw their own pictures. I will use the demonstrations to show how to utilize the elements of art in drawing and coloring. My teaching style is relaxed while promoting growth by using encouragement. The learners will interact with me as well as other learners throughout the lesson. There is no previous experience needed. The weekly drawing topics will be randomly selected using cards from the game "Whatchama Draw It" or the members of the class can suggest their own.
