What was Prohibition? In this course, we will take a look at American culture leading up to the 18th Amendment, and learn who was behind it and what impact it had. We will discuss society during the “Roaring Twenties," including discussion on speakeasies and gangsters. Each class will consist of slides, videos, and readings. I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions. I have a passion for history and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
There will be discussions about the illegal sale of alcohol during this time, which will include discussions about gangsters and violence, as well as discussions of alcohol consumption. There may be some Youtube videos that are seen during this class. I will share my screen and learners will not need to access them on their own.
