Description
Class Experience
Students will review telling time to the hour, half-hour, and quarter hour. Students will learn to read a clock to 5 minutes.
I have years of experience teaching math skills in the elementary school. I also have taken many professional development courses to continue my craft in providing effective instruction that helps students achieve goals and become successful learners. More than anything, I am just a person who cares and wants children to feel successful and accomplished.
Students will receive handouts that may print to practice skills learned in our lesson today.
2 files available upon enrollmentI encourage students to bring a dry-erase board and dry-erase markers to practice writing the digital times and for answering questions. I have included handouts you may print for your child to practice more at home. Also, if you would like to purchase a clock for your child to work with, Amazon has the clock I will be using for $5.99. But this is not required. I will be using the Learning Resources Write and Wipe Demonstration Clock.
Informal assessment will take place as students practice telling time.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
