Welcome to Pennsylvania!  Come join us as we learn what makes this state so unique and amazing! 

Some of the topics we will cover will be: 

Native American History - What tribes lived in the area and how were they treated by European settlers? 
What European country settled there and why?
Why was it the second state to join the union?
What does "Pennsylvania" mean? 
Why was it a central location during the Revolutionary war? 
What was its' role during both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars?
How did it change during the industrial revolution? 
What is it known for today?
What famous people are from there? 
What is the culture like? What famous foods, music, or places can be found there? 

We will also learn its' motto, population, and climate. 

This class part of a series of one-time classes on all 50 U.S. States.

In this class, students will learn more than the standard facts about each state. We will look at the history of the land, people, and culture.

Parental Guidance
In this class, we will be discussing relationships with Native Americans, slavery, racism, and discrimination. All topics will be handled in an age appropriate manner. There may be some Youtube videos that are seen during this class. I will share my screen and learners will not need to access them on their own.
