Welcome to Alaska! Come join us as we learn what makes this state so unique and amazing! Some of the topics we will cover will be: Native American History - Who were the first people in Alaska? What countries explored and settled the area? Why was it colonized by Russia? Why did Russia sell it to the United States? What was the gold rush and how did it affect the state? What is it known for today? Is there really a town where everyone lives in one building? What was its' role during WWII? What is it when the sun doesn't set for more than a month? What famous people are from there? What is the culture like? What famous foods, music, or places can be found there? We will also learn its' motto, population, and climate.
