Class Experience
Hello! Did you know that parrots are the only birds who can use their feet to bring their food to their mouth? It's true! Parrots have many unique characteristics not found in other bird species. In this class I will use picture books, a slideshow and a live bird to show learners how to identify a parrot. We will talk about where they live, what they eat, how and why they mimic, and what, exactly, is so special about those feet. We will begin the class with a greeting, where we will talk...
We will talk about feathers, colors, beaks and feet. We will also talk about parrot diets and their environments. Discussions will be learner led, but I will be encouraging all learners to keep the discussion focused on what we have learned as a class.
3 files available upon enrollmentTwo coloring pages will be provided as downloadable PDFs Learners will need to bring their own crayons, colored pencils, or markers
