Learners ages 8-13 will expand their critical thinking to truly engage with works of art to give them the confidence to appreciate all art going forward.
Trained in art history at The University of Michigan, I successfully created, and for several years taught, a full high school level art history class.
A listing of all art works and artists considered in this class will be provided to learners.
Artistic work from the Greek and Roman and European tradition include classical nudes (such as the Apollo Belvedere) Christian art (examples from Giotto, El Greco, Raphael), response to war (Picasso's Guarnica).
