Class Experience

Becoming a scientist, or aspiring to be one, usually derives from a natural curiosity about the world around us. I assume that if you are reading this description you have that curiosity, that passion to learn more (often learn more than what is known). Perhaps you would like to know if there are aliens? Or understand why people get sick and die (and how to avoid it)? Or dream of building faster cars? Whatever the reason, you should have that motivation to learn more about science and technology. This motivation and passion is vital because, as detailed below, becoming a scientist and doing science requires a lot of hard work and, while it can be fun and rewarding, the salaries of scientists don't match those of other highly-specialized professions.

We will learn the many disciplines and careers in Science.
-History of Science
-What is a Scientist
-Famous Scientist
-Many different types of disciplines and the history behind there evolution
- Activities directed by teacher

Students will have open discussions, knowledge based reinforcement through questioning during class time and review of previous class materials at the beginning of each new session.
Students will be challenged to use the concepts learnt through class discussions, critical thinking activities, and a half page summary of what they like the most about the class.
