In this 5-week course, we will explore different emotions and how to express them with a larger vocabulary. Emotions will include: Happy, Sad, Angry, Scared, and Confused. We will explore emotion intensity including strong, mild, and weak.

Description

Class Experience

Students will have fun showing different emotions with facial expressions and can practice drawing and making an emotional vocabulary chart for themselves to refer back to. Students will learn how to express themselves more succinctly and learn to get in touch with each big feeling or emotion they are experiencing.
Homework will be optional but may include asking students to practice writing sentences using their new emotional vocabulary words throughout the week. When they feel an emotion, they are encouraged to reflect on it, write it down or draw it, and decide what other words may be used to describe that emotion.
Learners may bring a notebook and writing utensil to practice writing and drawing emotions
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners who sign up for more than one session will be asked how they used their new emotional vocabulary throughout the week. 
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
