Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
"What Is Normal?" is a 45 minute basic sociology class. Through class discussion and videos, students will explore what a social norm is, why we have them, how they differ in various cultures, how they change, and how they are reinforced. By the end of class, students will be able to identify social norms in the world around them. This course will not have any assigned homework, but students will be encouraged to share their observations of social norms on the class message board in the days following class.
