As a mental health practitioner and currently supporting the wellbeing of students in schools, I have the understanding and knowledge needed to help students explore and manage their emotions and improve their wellbeing.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
*This class is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is intended to offer general information and should not be taken as professional advice on mental health. There is no intention of the class to elicit reports on personal experiences with mental health from learners. If a learner shares any personal mental health details (despite not being prompted to do so) , I will ask that the learner refrain from further discussion in front of the class and instead continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner shares something that is concerning, I may need to reach out to parents after class depending on the context.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
