This one-time class will give students an introduction to the field of forensic science, including its origin, descriptions of job duties of a forensic scientist, education and skills needed to become a forensic scientist, and some opportunities to practice observing (one of the main skills needed in forensic science). Students will learn: -the origin of the word "forensic" -what forensic science refers to in our modern-day court system -the education and skills needed to become a forensic scientist -how to identify qualitative and quantitative data
