Class Experience
What is a bug? The number and type of body parts make an insect! We will begin with sharing what kinds of bugs learners have seen around their house and backyard. Then we will observe real dead insect specimen ranging from ladybugs to katydids to butterflies. We will practice counting how many feet and antenna bugs have. We will learn the names of basic insect body parts with a coloring sheet to help distinguish between the head, thorax, and abdomen. At the end, we will make a bug out of...
Students will practice counting parts of a bug and develop fine motor skills with clay.
