In this course you will learn all about animal teeth from a variety of mammals, reptiles and fish! Before beginning the read aloud, you will learn the word adaptation and it's meaning. Through the read aloud, What if you had Animal Teeth?, we will explore how an animal's teeth can help it survive in it's environment (for example, catching prey and protection). In addition, we will compare adaptations of different animals to tell how and why they are alike and/or different. After reading, we...
Students will be able to define the word adaptation. Students will be able to identify how animals use their teeth adaptations to catch prey. Students will be able to identify how animals use their teeth adaptations to protect themselves. Students will make connections to their life by describing how humans mimic animal adaptations to solve a problem.
Please have your child bring a small stuffed animal to class! Optional: The book, What if you had Animal Teeth!?, written by Sandra Markle and illustrated by Howard McWilliam $3.99 on Amazon.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
