"What If...?" Public Speaking Basics Superhero & Marvel Style!
In this weekly course, we will explore a new "What If" scenario in the superhero universe. We will focus on one public speaking skill and apply it to the scenario.

Description
Class Experience
Students will practice discussion and social skills. They will improve their creativity with our "what if" situations. They will be introduced to basic public speaking skills. They will learn the structure of a speech and how to organize a speech. They will learn to deliver a speech with confidence and expertise.
No homework is required. Students are encouraged to continue to work on our skill from class and submit to me their written ideas if they'd like.
Each week, students will need a notebook and something to write with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Our "what if" superhero scenarios may contain some degree of violent situations. Students will be instructed that no mature material beyond milr violence will be tolerated.
Basic source material will come from Marvel comic books, movies & shows, and the new "What If" show. Students should have general knowledge of this comic universe but do not have to watch or read anything specific.
