What if...? Creative Writing Journal

Looking for a way to strengthen your learner's writing abilities? This class will do just that! The students will be presented with fun, imaginative and thought-provoking prompts which will give reluctant writers inspiration for writing while providing a fun way to practice writing skills. 

This class will allow students to practice their creative writing skills along with providing the opportunity for students to engage in discussion. Students will be asked various "What If?" questions which will require students to think outside of the box and dive into their imagination. (Sample Question: "What if you were granted three wishes by a genie?") As a class, we will discuss possible responses for the prompts. Students will then choose one prompt to complete a journal entry on and share it with the class when completed. 

Students will be guided through the writing process and will be given the opportunity to orally share before and after writing.
