Class Experience

Students will learn about the minds of dogs, the differences between breeds, and how to carry out experiments. They will learn what it's like to be a scientist, why critical observations and experiments are important, and how to discuss what we observe. Students will learn to appreciate the thoughts and emotions of dogs, and will learn new ways of interacting with their own pets if they have them.
I have carried out research on dogs and other animals, and have published papers and books on the thoughts and emotions of dogs and many other animals.
No homework.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Throughout our discussion, I probe students understanding by asking them questions, making sure I summarize key points, and by asking students to respond to what others say.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
