Movement class where we will learn nouns and verbs related to gifts, gift-giving, and toys in Spanish! Kids will get a chance to share one or two toys they received this holiday season. We will use our bodies to imitate the action of the verbs as we see what Santa brought us and how do you play with that toy. Children will get to practice question structures in Spanish when they ask questions about the toys to our new friends. It will be a great time to practice numbers, shapes, and color words in Spanish. Later we will give a pretend gift to each other as part of a fun improv theater game. This class more suitable for kids who are in beginner and lower intermediate levels of Spanish, but higher level can enjoy it as well!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Veronica and I am from Puerto Rico, a tiny island in the Caribbean. There, I finished my degree in Humanities with a major in Theater. I have also obtained a master's degree in Experience Design which I finished in December 2019. My travel bug has taken me to live in England, Italy, and Spain, where I worked as an English teacher and expanded my theater experience for most of my 20s and early 30s. Seven years ago I moved to Chicago and started giving Spanish and Theater classes, producing as well, my own immersive theater shows for children and adults.
My classes are very dynamic and encourage the students to be original and bold, bringing out their full personalities. A goal of mine is to listen to them and inspire confidence so they can reach whatever dreams they aspire. I will offer a variety of classes, including Theater, Performance Art, Puppetry, Creative writing, and Spanish. They will be supported by different resources such as lighting, costumes, photographs, games, music, dancing, art, sound, and objects. I love to create imaginary environments where I lose myself, hopefully, I will be able to bring your children along with me on a magical journey.
Most people describe me as authentic and creative that is why I love changing looks and wearing different costumes. Don't be surprised if you see me with purple hair in a gorilla costume!
