What Causes the Wind?

In this one time class students will learn about the causes of wind through discussion, movement, story and create a windsock so they can see the effects of wind.

Class Experience

By the end of class the students will be able to understand how molecules move and the difference between cold (high pressure) and hot (low pressure) causing movement of air.  The students will also have a windsock to show the winds movement.
For Craft please have: 1 Toilet paper roll or paper towel roll, tape, String, Ribbon, something to decorate the wind sock can be any of the following: Paint, markers, crayons, stickers, washi tape, colored pencils.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will read "Like a Windy Day" by Frank Asch & Devin Asch
