We will engage in discussion on how molecules move and what causes wind. The students will engage in movement to learn the difference between hot and cold air movement then high and low pressure systems. The students will Play like the wind and I will read "Like a Windy Day" by Frank Asch & Devin Asch for story time. Then we will make wind socks for the students to put up and see the winds effects made by materials found around the house. Students experience with wind is going to be...
By the end of class the students will be able to understand how molecules move and the difference between cold (high pressure) and hot (low pressure) causing movement of air. The students will also have a windsock to show the winds movement.
For Craft please have: 1 Toilet paper roll or paper towel roll, tape, String, Ribbon, something to decorate the wind sock can be any of the following: Paint, markers, crayons, stickers, washi tape, colored pencils.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
