Description
Class Experience
Students will examine how the changing seasons trigger the migration of whales to other parts of the ocean. Students will focus on three whales, the grey whale, the blue whale, and the humpback whale by mapping their migratory patterns.
1 file available upon enrollment1. "How far do whales migrate?" worksheet (PDF provided [1 page]. Will need to be printed out) 2. Pencil 3. Eraser
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
With guidance, students will write down information about three whales and map their migratory patterns on a worksheet. Students will also discuss similarites and differences between toothed whales and baleen whales.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
