In this one-time zoology class about whales, we will have fun learning and talking all about some of these interesting animals in our oceans, including humpback whales, blue whales, orcas, beluga whales, and narwhals.

Do you know which whale is louder than a jet plane? Or in which type of whale species does each pod have specialized training to hunt a specific type of animal? In this class, we will learn lots of interesting things about whales! The whales we will discuss are humpback whales, blue whales, orcas, beluga whales, and narwhals. We will learn where they live and what their habitat is like in that part of the ocean. We will learn what they like to eat, and other fun facts about these amazing creatures! We will use pictures, video clips, maps, and fun facts to help us discuss the animals. The class will be relaxed with a fun atmosphere, so that learners feel comfortable to participate. Learners will be encouraged to interact and share information about the animals. I would love to know what your learner’s favorite whale is!
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to learn about some of the interesting marine life in our oceans. My hope is that this class helps to develop a love for marine biology!
