Welcome to the World of Spanish

Day One:
Objectives:
1)Students will start of with a How are you song in Spanish.
2)Students will be introduced to the alphabet in Spanish by looking at an ABC chart and singing the alphabet in Spanish together.
3)Students will be introduced to numbers from 1-10 in Spanish using a numbers chart
4) Students will be introduced to colors in Spanish by using a colors chart
5) Students will learn the basics on how to Introduce themselves in Spanish and how to say Goodbye.
6) Students will practice what to say when it is morning time such as Good Morning in Spanish, good afternoon and good nighttime in Spanish. 
7) Students will listen to a story book in Spanish and learn new vocabulary.
8) Students will have the opportunity to practice introducing themselves as whole group.
9)  If time allows, we will play a fun Spanish game.
Day two:
1) Students will start off with a “How are you song”, in Spanish.
2) Students will be continuing to practice the alphabet in Spanish by looking at an ACB chart and singing the alphabet in Spanish together. Repetition is important to be able and recall. 
3)Students will continue to review to numbers and now practice from 1-15 in Spanish
4)Students will continue practicing colors in Spanish
5) Students will learn and practice their vowels
6)Students will also be introduced to their Geometric shapes in Spanish by looking at a picture chart, singing a song and looking at different props. 
7) Students once again will have the opportunity to practice full introduction of themselves, saying their name, how they are feeling in Spanish, how old they are in Spanish and their favorite color in Spanish. 
9) For homework students will be asked to complete an introductory worksheet for comprehension and extra guidance on ways to communicate simple introductions to others.
8) Students will sing a Goodbye Song in Spanish all together.
Day Three:
1) Students will start off with a “How are you song”, in Spanish.
2) Students will be continuing to practice the alphabet in Spanish by looking at an ABC chart and singing the alphabet in Spanish together.
3)Students will continue to review to numbers and now practice from 1-20 in Spanish
4)Students will continue practicing colors in Spanish
5) Students will continue to review and practice their vowels by looking at a picture chart, singing a song and looking at different props. 
6)Students will also be introduced to their Geometric shapes in Spanish by looking at a picture chart and having the opportunity to practice their shapes by tracing them as they are quizzed. 
7) Students will be introduced to the days of the week by chanting a song and seeing a chart.
8)Students will also be introduced to the months of the year
9) We will take turns practicing matching the days of the week and months of the year using a worksheet as a whole group as a review and comprehension check.
10) Students will have the opportunity to look for the months of the year in a word search handout as a whole group.
11) If time allows, we will play a fun Spanish game.
Day 4: 
1)Students will continue to start off with a “How are you song”, in Spanish.
2) Students will practice and learn the different seasons by listening to a story book and working on a worksheet of matching vocabulary with pictures as a whole group discussion.
3) As a whole group students will fill in a Calendar with days of the week in Spanish month and numbers.
3) Students will be continuing to practice the alphabet in Spanish as in every session by looking at an ABC chart and singing the alphabet in Spanish together to be able and have mastery of the letters.
4)Students will continue to review to numbers and be quizzed from numbers 1-20 in Spanish for mastery.
5)Students will be quizzed on the colors in Spanish
6) Students will practice their vowels and be quizzed for mastery of knowledge. 
7)Students will also be called on randomly and be quizzed on their ability to recall Geometric shapes in Spanish by looking at a picture chart, and having a discussion as a whole group 
8) If time allows we will play a Spanish game.
