Description
Class Experience
Welcome to the guitar! In this one time class learners will be introduced to the guitar. To begin the class we will briefly talk about how and why the guitar works. Then learners will have the opportunity to sit with their guitar and practice proper posture, hand position, and finding strings. We will play games to learn the string names and numbers, the fret numbers, and finger numbers. Learners will learn 2 simple chords and practice moving between the chords to improve finger dexterity....
Learners will be introduced to the guitar, string names and numbers, and they will learn 2 simple chords and a song.
Learners should bring a guitar to class. They should be sitting on the floor or in a chair without arms to allow them to hold the guitar properly.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
