I will present some of the creepiest and weirdest examples from the insect and arachnid world to students. This class is meant to be fun and educational, we will have a good time learning about this fun topic. The course will be part presentation, with a lot of video clips and photographs interwoven in. While we are learning the science, anatomy, habitat, and behavior of these animals, I will give students the opportunity to draw/sketch their favorite insect or arachnid from our list. We will also have plenty of time for discussion along the way so that I can engage students in the learning process. We will look specifically at a variety of bugs, insects, and arachnids known for their creepy appearance and behavior. If students enjoy this topic they should check out part two of this class for even more!
