Weird But True Facts & Snacks

In this club, we will meet once a week to share weird but true facts that the students have prepared. They’re also welcome to bring their favorite snack to munch on, because everything is better with a snack!

Class Experience

Did you know?
-That your eyes produce a teaspoon of tears every hour.
-The largest salamanders can grow as long as bicycles.
-It’s possible to smell scents in dreams.

In this fun group, we will meet once a week to share weird facts we have discovered leading up to class! Some of the best books for this would be the Weird But True books compiled by National Geographic Kids. These are some of our favorite books and my children are always spouting off facts to friends and family.

I would love for each learner to come prepared with at least 5 facts to share with their peers each week but no more than 10 to give everyone a chance to share. Learners are also welcome to post their facts after class in case anyone wants to copy down a favorite that was shared. Also feel free to bring a snack to munch on while everyone shares their weird facts.

Some Fact Theme Ideas:
Week of 9/22-Animals/Nature
Week of 9/29-Our Body
Week of 10/6-Earth
Week of 10/13-Food
If your learner doesn’t have fact for the theme idea, that is OKAY!

Some snack ideas:
Cheese Sticks
Meat Sticks
Crackers
Grapes
Peanut Butter and Celery
Apple Slices
Bell Peppers with Cream Cheese

If the posted section doesn’t accommodate your family, please reach out!

I can’t wait to see what weird facts your learner finds!

Hi friends! I’m Ms. Jordan. I’m a mom of 3 and a full time homemaker. I love all things cooking, baking and canning and dabble in so many other things. I love teaching my own children new things and can’t wait to teach yours as well!

We are always crafting and exploring at our house and I hope to take you along for some of our adventures to the Poultry Palace or out to the campfire!
