During each fast and fun meeting of our weird animal drawing club, we will create an original illustration featuring the strangest animals of the world. First, we’ll learn and share ideas about that week’s featured animal. Then, I will teach students how to draw the weird animal, and then they will be invited to contribute ideas of more details to add to our drawing. This could be details from the animal’s habitat, patterns, more animals, and much more. Wherever the learners’ imaginations...

As a professional artist and author, one of my favorite topics is nature and I love to share my passion for our world and science through drawing with kids.
Learners will be asked to post their finished artworks in the classroom for feedback. I will also post conversation threads in the classroom each week engaging the learners to brainstorm ideas for our drawings
Pencil with eraser, paper, ink pen for outlining, student’s preferred method for coloring their illustrations
Learner is assessed through teacher and peer feedback
