In this 6 unit self-paced class, students will learn about different aspects of weather, complete crafts and science experiments to enhance their learning, and answer quiz questions based on what they have learned.

1 hour per week. Each unit will consist of a 15 minute video that includes a craft and/or science experiment. There will also be a quiz that should take around 10 minutes.Assessment

US Grade 1 - 3
In this 6 unit self-paced course, students will be introduced to different aspects of weather (the water cycle and clouds, rainbows, snow, natural disasters, thunder and lightning.) Each unit consists of 1-2 videos that will contain a vibrant slide show and engaging lecture, as well as a step by step explanation and demonstration of that unit's craft and/or science experiment. Each video will be about 15 minutes long. The students will also complete a short quiz after the lesson, which will be posted in the classroom along with the lesson. The answer sheet will be posted as well, so the students may check their answers. This is a self-paced class. All lessons are pre-recorded and students complete the tasks at their own pace. Here is the breakdown of the units: Unit 1: Water Cycle and Clouds Craft: Cotton Clouds Experiment: Evaporation Observation Unit 2: Rainbows Craft: Rainbow painting Experiment: CD rainbows Unit 3: Snow Craft: Paper snowflakes Unit 4: Natural Disasters Part 1 Experiment: Tornado in a jar Unit 5: Natural Disasters Part 2 Experiment: Edible plate tectonics Unit 6: Thunder and Lightning Craft: Storm in a cup Experiment: Balloon static electricity No prior knowledge about weather is required in order to participate in this class.
