In this 6 week FLEX class, students will learn about different aspects of weather, complete crafts and science experiments to enhance their learning, and answer quiz questions based on what they have learned. A science and art combo class.

Class Experience
Students will learn about several different aspects of weather, complete crafts and experiments, and answer quiz questions.
I am a certified elementary education teacher. I taught science for 5 years, including a unit on weather each year.
Each class will consist of a 15 minute video that includes a craft and/or science experiment. There will also be a quiz that should take around 10 minutes. There will be a weekly question posted in the classroom to answer.
Here is the breakdown of supplies by week. If you are missing anything, let me know and I will help you come up with an alternative. Week 1: Blue paper Cotton balls Glue Paper plate Marker Water Week 2: White paper Paint (rainbow colors) and paintbrush CD Week 3: White paper Scissors Pencil Week 4: Glass cup or jar Water Spoon Week 5: Plate Spreadable food (peanut butter, icing, cream cheese) with a spoon to spread it Square/rectangular crackers/cookies Cup of water Week 5: Clear plastic cup Black permanent marker Either blue and yellow tissue paper and glue OR blue and yellow permanent markers Flashlight/plastic tea candle Cotton balls/toilet paper Balloon
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed based on their participation and engagement in the class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Some of the crafts and experiments may require parental assistance.
