Description
Class Experience
I am a New Zealand classroom teacher with decades of experience of teaching through Inquiry and exploring learners' interests. I believe in learner agency where the children have a say in what they learn and how.I try my best to hook my learners in, pique their curiosity and let them want to explore and learn with some help from me. I do not subscribe to teacher centric learning. New Zealand is a country of amazing natural beauty. For me, one of NZ's most beautiful natural wonders are its native and endemic birds. I have enjoyed teaching many science units on NZ birds but my enthusiasm about them never ebbs! Looking forward to sharing my love of NZ birds with my learners on Outschool.
Students can bring a small whiteboard and whiteboard pen OR blank paper and pen to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
