This is a fun, interactive class, where creativity and critical thinking are highly encouraged. In each lesson, we will discuss a different style of writing and apply that style to the prompt/topic/or reading from the lesson. Writing is a skill that will help your learner in many areas of life. Writing gives us an outlet to explain ideas/reasoning with examples, effectively communicate, organize thoughts and reflect, and to develop organizational skills. Each class stands on its own. I would love to assist your learner and help strengthen their writing skills for one class or the entire course! There will usually be 1-2 pages to print for each lesson. Attachments to print will be uploaded to the classroom each Monday. Learners will need: A pencil (please sharpen prior to class), eraser Colored pencils/crayons I look forward to seeing you in class!
Learning Goals
Learners will learn how to use various writing styles to express their thoughts, ideas, opinions, stories, and state what they have learned.

I have previously taught pre-kindergarten, second grade, and on various online platforms. I have an Associate's Degree in Communication, a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies (with a minor in Organizational Leadership), and have completed the Teaching English as a Foreign Language program (from the International TEFL Academy).
