Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class, we will cover new skills each week to improve as writers and thinkers. 

Topics will include writing modes, purposes, style techniques, paragraph structure, word choice, the writing process, and revision. 
We will also have some fun with creative writing! 

Each class will be aligned to at least one Common Core writing standard for middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th grades). My class environment is interactive and relaxed. All work will be completed curing class (no...

Students will learn to write organized, well-crafted responses for a variety of purposes and audiences. Learners will practice using techniques to improve the quality and structure of their writing.

I have been teaching writing to children for over a decade. My passion is to help reluctant writers discover new confidence and enjoyment in written expression.

There  will be no homework outside of class.

Any necessary materials will be provided by me prior to each class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
