Class Experience: Each week students will hear a mini-lesson that covers a different writing skill, suggestion, or tip to help improve their writing skills. Each week, students will hear a new writing mini-lesson which will help strengthen their writing skills. In addition, students will learn to use graphic organizers, which will help them craft a more cohesive writing piece. Please note: This is optional. I know some people are unable to print, which is not a problem. Students can participate 100% in the class without the graphic organizer. Students are encouraged to share their work with their peers as well as provide peer-to-peer feedback. This practice will help build confidence and improve public speaking skills.
I have nearly a decade of teaching experience. I’ve taught in the brick-and-mortar setting as well as online. Writing is a topic that I am personally passionate about. I enjoy writing and want to pass along my love of writing to others. My degrees/certifications are: • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education • Bachelors degree in Elementary Education I would very frequently work 1:1 with special needs students to help them become better writers and accomplish goals outlined in their IEP’s.
Students/parents are welcome and encouraged to send me the student's work if they would like personalized feedback. I can be reached via Outschool messenger.
2 files available upon enrollmentStudents need to bring TWO things along with them each week. 1.) Pencil/Pen 2.) Notebook/Writing Paper **Graphic organizers are optional but will always be available.** As always, please reach out if you have any questions.
