Young wizards will participate in a variety of fun wizarding themed learning activities weekly. Each class will focus on math, science, language, or art geared towards 2nd-4th grade learners.

Description
Class Experience
Supplies for all upcoming classes are listed below: Week of 1/4 : Escape the Castle - Wizards Escape Room (math and science lesson) • No Supplies Required Week of 1/11 : Wizarding Weekly - A Day in the Life Newspaper Story (art and language arts) • Print supplied worksheet from the Outschool Classroom • Colored Pencils, Crayons, or Markers Week of 1/18 : Wonderful Wands - The Science of Invisible Forces (art and science) • Cardboard paper-towel tubes (2) • Yarn, twine, or thick string • School Glue (hot glue may be used with adult permission) • Tape • Acrylic Paints and Paint Brush (to decorate wand) • Cup of Water (to rinse brushes) • Paper towel (to clean brushes) Week of 1/25 : Potions Class - Chemical Concoctions (math and science) • School Glue (PVA Glue) • Baking Soda • Contact Lens Solution (must contain boric acid) • Food Coloring • White Distilled Vinegar • 2-3 mixing bowls • Popsicle/Craft sticks or Plastic Spoons for mixing • Paper towel (for sticky hands)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Week of 1/18 - Students may use hot glue for this activity if they have adult permission and understand safety rules for working with hot glue. Adult supervision from someone in the home is suggested for safety.
