Beginner - Intermediate Level
Watercolor paint is a wonderful medium that lets artists make just about anything they can think of! In order to do that, though, artists will need many different skills. That's what this class is all about! Join class each week for a quick watercolor skill lesson, then put your knowledge to work! This class is intended for learners that are familiar with watercolor painting, and are looking to expand their artistic horizons. Each class will follow the same loose format: - Introductions:...
Students will improve their understanding of watercolor painting while also learning new art skills. They will also discuss how these skills can be used in terms of style and emphasis.
Art is a lifelong passion, and my journey with art started in middle school. I have worked in many different media, but my favorites are sketching, drawing, and photography. I’ve been keeping sketchbooks for nearly 20 years, and they’ve helped me document my journey with art, as well as important milestones in my life. I want to help learners find their artistic passion and help them do the same.
Learners should be familiar with watercolor painting, or should have taken the one-time class "Intro to Watercolor Painting" or a similar class.
Learners will need the following supplies to participate in class: - A pencil - Watercolor paper (thick, normally textured paper that can be found in most stores with art supplies) - Watercolor paints (cakes or tubes) - A jar or coffee mug with water - An assortment of small (1" or less) paintbrushes - Paper towels or a watercolor sponge If you have any questions about your supplies, please reach out!
