This weekly class is for anyone who would like to expand their knowledge and vocabulary in science and nature. ESL/EFL welcome!
Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
This ongoing class has a dual benefit! Students will fortify their vocabulary set while learning about science and nature. Each week we will have a conversation about five to seven important words from one scientific area. These words may be completely new, or they may be somewhat familiar. We will clarify definitions so students can understand and use these words with confidence. Students will learn words that are regularly used in science classrooms and nature conversations. Students will learn about science while expanding their vocabulary.
Homework Offered
Students' only task after class is to try to notice the word and use it in conversation or in writing.Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
Students should bring paper and pencil to class so they can write our word list and definitions.
