Weekly Video, Vocab & Speaking for Beginner Spanish

In this multi day class, novice/ beginner Spanish students watch 1 video song a week, learn the vocabulary & speaking. This is great, weekly Spanish practice that is fun & engaging! Students are welcome to pop-in for 1 time classes too!

Class Experience

For this ongoing Spanish class, beginner students will meet weekly for an interactive and fun Youtube video, accompanying vocabulary and speaking practice.  **No previous Spanish study is necessary. Although, students who have taken Spanish classes before are welcome because we will learn lots of varied vocabulary each week (we will not "cover the basics" like some other classes do by just learning colors, numbers, alphabet. This class is taught in English.

Students will develop and improve their Spanish vocabulary on a variety of topics.  
Students will use listening comprehension skills and work on strategies for understanding the language.  
Students will be able to talk about themselves and their preferences.

I incorporate Spanish videos into my daily lessons in all levels of Spanish.
I have incorporated comprehensible input and conversational Spanish into my lessons for the past 20 years.

All students will receive access to "Quizlet" vocabulary cards that accompany our videos. Students can choose to use these to practice on their own, if they wish, but it is not required.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

All videos are age appropriate.  All (1-3 minute) videos are found on "safe Youtube" searches, all are appropriate for children of this level.

Youtube will be used to view the videos.
